The "chair of the Pope" is one of the symbols of my city, Ancona. The name is due to the conformation that this rock takes. I spend a lot of time photographing it, always looking for a new composition (as far as possible) and always looking for new and exciting lighting situations. If I may say so myself - This is my best milky way shot by far! A lot thanks to the amazing dark skies of Tenerife ???? This island is sky, is mountain, is sea. It is the perfect location for night photography. Walking through the rock formations of El Teide national park is literally like walking on Mars (where I have never been btw... yet ????). This shot was taken in Las Minas with its reddish lava rocks and white ground made of pumice granules. It is incredible walking around there in pitch black.
